Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you that I have borrowed a book from your library on 08th January but lost it on a bus. I am an international student and have been a member of the library for more than six months. I am seeking your advice and would really appreciate your guidance regarding this.
I borrowed the book “Basic Economics” by Thomas Sowell on 08th January for a duration of four days using my library card which is 254731025. Unfortunately, during my visit to my aunt’s house the day before yesterday, I missed it on the bus that I took. I contacted the bus authority and they could not inform me about the book. I assume it has been lost and I would need your help to follow the procedure under this circumstance.
I am not completely aware of the process a member has to follow to compensate for a lost book. However, I am ready to pay the full amount to buy another copy of the book or can do it myself if you want.
I would really appreciate your response regarding this.
Thank you in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Keaton
