Friend Nervous About Speaking English
A friend wants to improve their English speaking skills but doesn’t know where to start. They’re nervous about speaking in front of others. What advice would you give them?
“Learning a new language is tough, and it’s natural to feel nervous. To start, try practicing with a language buddy or in conversation groups. These groups are perfect for people who are also learning, so it’s a relaxed environment. Another approach is to set aside 5 to 10 minutes a day to talk to yourself in English. You can describe your day or practice basic sentences. Little by little, this will boost your confidence. Remember, everyone starts somewhere, and you’ll see progress soon if you keep practicing!”
